For some reason, the trigger assembly wouldnt lock into place when I tried to assemble my Yugo SKS today after cleaning. Theres probably some small, stupid thing I did or forgot to do that isnt letting it lock in. But for the life of me, I cant figure it out. What did I do wrong? What could be the problem? For those of you who havent read my other topics, Im new to the SKS. Thanks,

Is the safety still on, with the hammer cocked back? You haven't installed the bolt/carrier yet, have you? Save that for last.

Did you try inverting the rifle on a carpeted floor, inserting the magazine and the trigger ass'y, then pressing down on the trigger guard?

That will get it unless there is a major problem with the hardware.

Make sure the safety is on.
Make sure the pins are under the hooks in the front of the trigger group

Push it like a MoFo.

The 2 I have are both very tight and require alot of force to lock in place.
