I am trying to find a good (or better) condition SKS without the (ugly) "grenade launcher."  I have found several on-line dealers but they only seem to have the carbine with the launcher (e.g., J&G Sales, AIM Surplus, SAMCO Global Arms).

Anyone know where I can get a good, plain SKS?

For that matter, can the grenade launcher be removed?

Where do you live?  A gunshop here in Hopewell has a few Chinese in stock.  You better get them before I do.  Oh yeah, Hopewell is about 20 miles south of Richmond.
