Because the legalities of the SkS and certain mods/conversions are often murky. The last time we tried it, people posted pics of rifles that were unknowingly to them, in illegal configurations.

They usually include duckbill mags on C and R rifles, bayos on post 89 chinese imports, modifications to CRs without losing the evil features and such like that. The now departed 94 ban did not change the 89 import ban.

Plain as can be and some cosmetic wear, but it runs perfectly.

My mint Norinco. All matching numbers, 100% finish with not a scratch on it. It was Made in Factory 26, which is where (I've heard) most of the chinese military weapons were made. Has an interesting mark on the stock-a triangle with a 6 in it. Loves WOLF.

But, how does one find out when a SKS was made? I have a Norinco that has a bayo. So, how do I know it's legal? Thanks. |

Mine was made in 1968, which I am pretty sure of. I think it's the first two letters of your SN, but I could be wrong.
