The other day at the range I did something I never bothered to do before, after shooting at the gongs at 150,200,275,300 with little effort. I decided to go a little further, I slid the the rear sight on 5 and bang, I looked over at my buddy, I think I hit the dam thing (me) What? The 500 yrd. gong! yea right? Now at 500yds. it's a little hard to here any kind of thud with ear plugs in, So he gets out is spotting scope and I take another shot. alittle low he says aim a bit higher. I take another shot and he looks over and says you hit it! try another, a couple of misses and I hit it 2 more times. After we where done he told me that he had lots of different sks's and never did he hit anything out that far. Best $119.00 I ever spent on a gun.

The Yugo SKS is a nice shooter.  I had some real tight groups with it so far.  Its a great gun for the money.
