Assuming mismatch #s, what's an expected cash or trade value on a Type 56 with papers?

One sold at Rock Island Auction for $4k, but that seems excessive.

I don't have better specifics.  It lives in another house at the moment.

Type 56 . . . .what?  Pretty vague question?  Russian?  Chinese? What do "papers" mean?

Chinese with bringback papers from Vietnam.  DD-603 form (1970), and firearms export license in Vietnamese.

The price check was for a "Chinese Type 56" and "papers" , really, you don't know what it is referring to?

Back on the subject, my supposed "Bring Back" with no "Papers" I got for around $900

An SKS collection just sold at auction and the papered ones fetched $1800 or more, with Russians getting the most.  Best data I've seen in a while.
