I want to take it off but was wondering if its like the Mosin that requires it to be on for better accuracy.

My friend had a manual that mentions the bayonet should be extended when firing.

I tried it, and the point of impact sure does change.

I never  extend mine except to wipe it off  as far a affecting accuracy I have mine always on and folded.
