I am thinking about having my SLR-105 converted to a Krink on a form 1.

I originally was going to have an AK-105 copy made but I am thinking this is alot of money for just a couple of inches.

In you estimation, is it more expensive for a builder to convert to a Krink or AK-105.

Also, what Krink parts are common with the SLR-105, meaning, is the bolt carrier the same or different? I do realize the gas piston will be smaller.

Is the norm wood furniture on the handguards?

Thanks for your input.

It is the same amount of work for either one.
So, which ever one you want will cost the same, depending on the cost of the parts.

The krink parts might be slightly more.

I believe that the handle on the krink bolt carrier is slightly smaller.

I saw a Krink kit for sale today at a gunshow -- He had 2 $750 each.  ouch!

When a smith buids one of these kits, is the barrel cut down or is it replaced?

bolt,rec,tg and possibly the trunnion

the carrier and barrel can be made to work but arnt "correct"

now the price
most smiths bump a bill or 3 onto the normal price to build a krink

You will have a harder time finding krink parts than AK105 parts.  The big kicker is the hinge block that the krink top cover attaches to.
