A friend of mine from the 'Stan (I worked with him a bit) sent me a pic of him and his AKSU that I had to repair for him. He was wondering I if I could build one for him like the one he carried in a series of photos he sent me.
From what I remember:
The Reciever and safety were from a Yugo RPK.
The Barrel was a local Paki hack w/AKSU top cover/sight and top cover base.
The grip was Romanian
The stock Paki
And the front wood Russian.
Chinese trigger components
The gun worked fine after a little minor hot rodding and parts replacement.
I am wondering will a Bulgarian AKSU barrel fit in a Yugoslav trunnion?
Who makes a good Yugo reciever and who can I send it too to put the cuts for the russian style sidefolder in it? I can do the rest but I need a little direction.
He gave me a Bulgarian AKSU sidefolder kit in 7.62x39 to start with.
I have a photo but I don't know how to post it if any one is interested-it is not the greatest just let me know how to do it.
