I just got a Russian khaki Krinkov sling and was surprised how narrow it it compared to an AKM or AK74 sling; this is normal I take it?

They're pretty narrow compared to the common AK/AKM sling.  Most soldiers used the AK/AKM sling for the AKS-74U, though, because of the narrowness. Good score.
