Ok, I'm done with work for the day and decide to swing by a shop that used to be a competitor when I was selling guns.  One of the guys who I worked with for years is working there and I was BSing with him.

I check over the rack of used long guns and.........behold!...........a really decent Maadi ARM imported by Intrac.

Butthole stock, threaded muzzle with a "protector" spot welded on.

Imported in 1993.

It has the Pharonic Egyptian Unified Crown on the left side of the rear sight block.....pretty damn cool (finally, all those courses in Ancient Near East History are usefull...)

I'm probably going to turn it into an East German MPiKMS-72 clone.

It's on layway.....when I have it in my hands I'll take some before and after pics.

I was looking for a good "beater" AKM that I can use as a "truck gun".  

I think I found it.

I'm wanting basically this rifle, so if I can find the early DDR type folding stock I'll be good to go, otherwise I might just make do with a Romanian stock with the East German style latch.

It's really gonna be a working, banged around truck rifle so I'm not as concerned with the 100% authenticity of it.
