Are the barrels on 7.62x39 saigas the same spec as standard AK-47 barrels?, what about the gas block is it the same shape, and is the a bayonet lug attached to it, and do the new 5.45x39 Saigas have the bayonet lug on the front sight base?....

barrel parts are Saiga only barrel parts, though they can be easily replaced with standard stuff (Bulgarian, etc).

As for a 5.45 Saiga, thats news to me.. As far as I know, Izhmash doesnt make them.

The Saiga 7.62 has a 22mm barrel trunnion, most AKM rifles are 23mm.

IIRC, saigas are built on an AK-74 pattern, and then modified to their final form, so all of the specs should be '74 specs except where modified (no feed ranp, trigger pins, lug ground off, etc.)

I have not seen any 5.45 Saigas, and I don't think they are even manufactured.
