The Saiga is setup for a single-hook, but you can make the cuts for a double hook to work.

I cut mine for a double, but that was because I ordered a double by mistake. Single hook triggers are fine. Go double if you are a purist!
Order either G2 triggers from Tapco, and have fun! |

The Red Star arms looks good but the Tapco G2 comes highly recommended.
After trying my AR-15's tight single stage RRA trigger (about 5-8lb of force required) and my Vepr K's standard 2-stage trigger (feels like 4 lb for the 2nd stage, very light) I like the single stage trigger the best. It's durable, cheap, and works fine for me. I can't see myself spending upwards of $80+ to get a 2-stage trigger. |

Make sure there isn't a round in the chamber. Open the receiver cover, look down where the trigger sits. With the hammer uncocked, pull the trigger with the selector on FIRE. Note how your single hook goes into this "groove" in the receiver. The double hook will simply require a similar groove cut into the other side. |

No, but there is a less chance of trigger slap developing. I'm not sure why though, perhaps someone else can answer that.
