I've been trying to find an ak-74.  I found one, it's a VEPR.  Saw some others, bulgarian I believe.  Prices ranged from $450 to $599 U.S.
Do you know of any places that have them?
Are they always easy to obtain?
Who makes the good ones?

Thank youhug.gif

The VEPRs are the best stamped RPK variants you can buy...

I can't say how good they are compared to Arsenal milled AKs because I haven't seen many range reports from Arsenal shooters. They either go plinking with foreing import plinking ammo or don't shoot it period.

I can tell you that in the hands of a beginner shooter with good ammo, a scope, and a bipod - the VEPR K in 7.62x39 is capable of 1.5 - 2 MOA at 100 yd.

I've been shooting for 24 years! Thanks for the info.  The VEPR seems a bit heavy at 8.8 pounds.
