I filed down my mag catch lever today for my Saiga conversion and I think I may have ground a little too much off. Most of the mags have a little play when inserted and I'm not sure if they should or not. My bullet guide (and other parts) will be ordered from K-var soon, so I can't test fire the rifle yet. So is there suppossed to be some play between the mags and the catch or should I order a new mag ctach from K-var?

Play between the receiver and magazine should be none to minimal, just buy a regular AK47 magcatch and install that one....

i dont file down the mag catch, i file down the tab on the mag. i guess a new "normal" ak mag catch/trigger guard is in order now.

Yep, I ordered a catch lever and pin  yesterday and it should be here soon.
