My VEPR K's barrel outer diameter measures 0.615"

What are my options for muzzle brakes? I need to reduce/eliminate the muzzle climb during single load range sessions (we're not allowed to rapid fire or load more than 1 round in the mag at one time, in accordance to Michigan state law when range shooting on state rifle ranges). I am using a modified Bulgarian vented gas tube and it has reduced recoil to the point I no longer need a recoil pad on my arm.

I am using standard 7.62x39 loads: Wolf, Barnaul, Winchester, Federal American Eagle, etc...

Mine came with a factory muzzle brake installed, it works very well. I guess it doesn't show up too god in the pic, but I really like it....I think it was an additional $50 or something.

HK_Dude: Yep, that's the Robinson Arms brake. It's not a real AK-74 brake and it's not as effective in reducing muzzle climb and recoil as the real brake. Unfortunately since we have RPK barrels, I can't find many compensators that would directly fit.

Wait until the AWB bans ends and then have it threaded for an AR-15 flash suppressor (DPMS makes them for the 7.62x39 AR), or have a custom brake made from

Does the AR15 have a thick enough barrel?? My VEPR is .610", I don't think a .223 barrel would be as thick. My bore is 0.310"-0.313"
