I have an SAR-1 that is dated 2002.

Can someone educate me on how these were legal to import until recently. I thought Klinton put an end to all reciever imports. Are SAR-1s 922r cmpliant or are they somehow sporting rifles. I'm a bit confused. Never did understand how the SARs made it in to the countrry; not that I'm complaining or anything

2003 was the last year...but I have heard some 2004 SAR's were imported.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.  Yes, I was refering to the Sar series and not the mag well enhanced WASR.
