No accessories, finish worn with mild corroded spots, wood condition extremely worn, but gun is tight and matching and a great shooter.

Is $800 too high for this?

that is borderline high, IMHO...more like $700~750 since the finish is worn, and rust is present.

On the condition of the gun....Wood can always be revarnished, steel finish can be redone.
if it shoots good and the numbers all match i would go for it.
Those AK's are starting to get too far and between if it is a true pre-ban and remember if a seller says pre-ban on an AK it would be a 89 pre-ban, just in case you didnt know.
