Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Polytech Legend Laminated stock

I have a friend with a early production Legend, under 1000 serial number.  It has laminated stock, pistol grip, forarm.  Has anyone ever heard of this or seen any.  I feel it is not original and told him I would ask and see.  Any help??

The Chinese have made Type 56 rifles with laminated furniture but it seems it's something they don't do normally.  It's not out of the realm of possibility.  Photos would be nice, if possible.  That would certainly tell the tale.
