Has anyone gotten one of these parts kits yet?  It the only parts kit of its kind that I can find on the internet.  The price seems to be a bit steep but it I guess that's going to have to do with the new laws impending.  What do you guys think?

Join the Kvar forum for a member discount.. I think it is 7% and that makes the kit around $375 wich is how much Akron Armory was getting for them before they ran out..

isnt the Arsenal slr-105 basically the same thing but already put together and only $50-$100 more?

There will eventually be SLR-105A1's with that AKS stock on them from Arsenal.

How are they gonna do that? I wouldn't think that a semi-auto rifle with a pistol grip and folding stock would be considered "sporting" for import purposes, even in a single-stack configuration. Or is it gonna be an "import them into a bonded warehouse and put in the US parts" situation, ala Century Arms? Or are the barreled actions going to be made here?

The same way the SLR-105A1's are produced now.....the SLR-105 is imported in sporting configuration and then "unbanned" here in the USA

To include modding the receiver to take the AKS-74 sidefolder? Lot of work there. I'll be surprised if they can do all that and still keep the price reasonable. In the meantime, I'm going about it the "hard way" and having the stock put on an existing SLR-105...

It's a pity you have to deal with an import ban on foreign (read nonUS receivers), picked up my Bulgarian AKS74 today and it's a beauty. One if not the nicest AK's I've ever seen. If Arsenal USA delivers the same quality it's well worth the wait.

Templar, will do...

@ AKspray, this is not a build. The weapon was mfg'd at Kazanlak Bulgaria. Bought her as a complete weapon.
