Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Arsenal USA K-101 brake attachment ?

Does anyone know how Gordon Tech permanently attached the AK-74 type brake to the front sight base of the K-101.  I know it has been tig welded but I was wondering if they used a pin and welded over it or drilled a hole in the brake and did a plug weld?  I want to remove the brake from my K-101 and install a removeable one.

Unfortunately, I have no idea.

You could always call up Gordon Tech and ask...they are usually pretty good about customer service.
