I have the .308 model with the 22" (?) barrel. I bought one of the folding pistol grip stocks that replaces the hunting one. Nice setup! I also bought one of the 6x com-bloc scopes from CDNN.

Now, using 150gr Federal mil-spec (NATO cross) FMJ loads from the rest with the scope, I was only getting about 4" groups.

While it won't be making 600 meter head shots, how is this accuracy for a Saiga?

4" isn't bad for what ammo you used.

I routinely get 1" from my 22" Saiga with handloads. Using 165gr Rem Corelokts and 41 gr IMR 4064. Mild load and great on whitetail deer and antelope. 2.5-3" is very good with milsurp.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Hell, even the mil-spec accuracy for the M-14 was 5 MOA (IIRC) for acceptance.

I have some 168gr Black Hills BTHP Match ammo laying around somewhere. Next time I go out I'll run a group or 2 through it and see. I would imagine it will decrease the group size considerably.

I've owned 3 Saigas and these are my experiences, all were converted to PG.  

My first 16" .308 would group around 3-4"@100yds. on irons but like a dumba$$ I sold it.  Then I got around to a 7.62x39 and it will group slightly better than my Bulgarian slr-101, 2"@50yds, KEEPER.  I have ordered the ace internal block, folder and skeleton stock for it.  My last is another 16" .308 that I decided to run down after I learned of the 20rd mags being offered.  This one will put 5rds of South African surplus into 1.5-2"@100yds. with a 4x24 PSO and the best 3 are usually under 1", KEEPER.  With it's outstanding accuracy, inherent reliablity and available mag capacity, this is now my go-to MBR.
