Getting ready for arrival of my Vector AK - 47 I picked up 200 rounds of 7.62 x 39
made by Bear.  Is this okay ammo?  I paid 17 cents a round ( before tax).

thanks,

silver/brown bear is excellent ammo made by Barnual. 17 cents a round in todays market is dead on.

So you are saying that paying $180 per 1000 for Brown bear 7.62x39 ammo is "dead on"?
Sounds like a "dead rip off" to me. The market where you are must suck to buy ammo in.

My COST on the BB 7.62x39 is 11.5 cents a round.  Cases of ammo i mark up 20%.
Sells all day long for $69.99 a brick of 500 rnds.  1000 rounds should be about $140 or so a case from a dealer. Might save some through mail order, but watch shipping cost too...

Corrected for 500 rnd brick / case

so we can goto you for $69.99 per 1k of brown bear?  also, 200 rounds is no where near a case, so there will be a mark up because its not bulk. by dead on in todays market, i meant its hard to find, so paying that price isnt bad.

I'm glad I jumped on that Wolf for 7 1/2 cents a round.

I can still get it from SG for less than 12 cents a round.

Hard to find??  Not down here.  I have had the WOLF on a consistant basis the past 3 months.
Sitting on 3 cases now.  No, it tisnt as cheap as the SG stuff...but i have it in stock. If i  see a guy that is gonna buy 200 rnds i will try to move him to a 500 box.  9 out of 10 times he will buy the 500. The other time he will put down the 200 he picked up, go and get more money, then come back and get he 500 box.

I got 1000 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39 FMJ for $110 last month (including shipping). In otherwords, 11 cents a round. I ordered it from Cabellas in March, received it a couple weeks later.

If you are paying more than $135, you are getting ripped off.
