Ok, I know this has probably been covered time and time again......but please humor me, I'm from that "other" side of the board.

I have a Romanian AK (no threaded barrel or bayo lug) and I was wanting to try out the lower handguard with pistol grip.

My questions are is this legal just to buy a new one and install it and where is the best place to find one?

why wouldn't it be legal if you can put a forward handgrip on an AR?

the only limitation is if it cuts the 5 required U.S. parts down to 4, if so find another U.S. part to replace it.

they seem to be all over the EE AK parts.  One will pop up at least once a week I'd say.  Maybe no more than $10 for just the lower handguard with the grip.  But a lot of the time they want to sell it with the whole stock set, just keep a look out on the EE.

Yeah, I figured it was the same as with an AR but I figured it was worth asking.

And also, I don't know how many US parts I have which is another reason I'm asking. If it is a ban compliant Romanian AK, any ideas on how many US parts I've got?
