Clean it up and buy some black oxide off the internet. Dont use alluminum oxide or what ever that crap is called. You mix the black oxide 1 part blakc oxide to 9 parts water and just soak it for 10 minutes or so. I helped a guy blue a receiver earlier this week and it turned out awesome.

i just googled and found this:
