Didn't know they all came with laminated stocks. I ordered a solid wood kit, but still has laminated buttstock.

All parts are matching except the selector, which Todd said weren't consistently numbered.

Is any manufacturere (like AK-USA, Krebs, etc.) building these kits up into rifles? Or are you all DIY? If it is a basement job, where do you get good RPK or PRK74 recievers?

I called Shy @ ORF and they are sending me a trigger guard and selector stop. They are extremely busy and I am patient with them.

Todd,

How about a sale on the used 45 rnders for those of us you put in the poor house :)

Same old story...........rarity. Supply and demand.

I think it's safe to say he can justify that price because he has them and no one else does?? Because if you don't want them, someone else will buy them?? Because they HAVE been selling for $100 or more each?? Because....................well, you get the picture. I wish they were $4 each too. Ain't gonna happen. That's actually a good deal........comparatively speaking of course.

I found these ONCE at $86/mag.  These are good prices for the reasons stated.  If you think these ones are expensive try to find the plum ribbed Russian 45 round mags.

Spooky

ETA:  Couldn't resist a 4 pack of the used ones...  I'm still fighting the urge for ANOTHER RPK-74 kit though...

You probably don't want to know how many I had before I bought these...  They will be gone soon and I bet there aren't nearly as many of them out there as the 30 rounders.  Besides, they look great in a standard AK...

I got my 4 pk of "used" RPK74 45 round magazines in yesterday...  I think Todd is being generous about these mags bing used - they appear brand new!  Three of the four still have a light packing grease on them while the fourth is dry and is the only one that appears "used" - it looks to have been inserted once or twice at the most.

Here are pics...

25 marking on each mag.

Side view - nice bright red bakelite...  What were the Soviets thinking when they made red mags???

The mag on the left has the most wear on it...  That isn't even getting it broken in yet!

Anyhow, bottom line, if you want 45 round mags, get these from Todd now!  They are in great condition and are very reasonably priced.  I have more of these mags I purchased over the years and none of them were in this good of condition and they were all much more expensive.  I know they cost more than the 30 rounders that are out there but these are much harder to find.  I don't know if the supply of these will dry up soon but I bet no matter what they won't get much cheaper.

Spooky

ETA:  I couldn't resist that urge for another RK74kit...  The CC company is going to love me these next couple months...
