   Chinese exported to Viet Nam Model 56-2 from my collection. She is a post sample we re-welded. All matching numbers and I wouldn't sell it for nothin'.  Denny |

wow she has seen better days. why/how did the reciever crack? is the crack right above the mag?

I can see where the front cut was, (right at the back of the lightening cut), but where else was it cut? Nice piece BTW. |

A PD cut it with a nice thin bandsaw. One cut only. This was done some years ago before BATF was so strict on de-mil. Unfortunately it was no prior to 1986 so it is a post ban. She gets shot on a regular basis and shoot fine. The outside has a look I like. It most likely spent years in the bush. I wish she could talk, or maybe not. I had to save it as it is a genuine piece of history. I also have the bayonet. Denny |

Is that magazine 'appropriate' for the rifle? I thought all Chinese mags didn't have a 'rib'? |

Another testament to MK's design. It looks like that one was dug from a bomb crater years later but still runs.
I'm sure it has a lot of history. |

The Chinese mag for this rifle was rusted right thru. All the Chinese mags I have look near new looked pretty bad on the rifle. I have a couple of Ruskies now that are well used and rusted and match the finish on the rifle better than the one in the pic. Denny |
