Guys , I know this has been brought up before. What is the best way to rid of surface rust? I have a little starting on the gas tube where it slides into rear sight block.

Soak hell out of it with CLP for a day or so. It'll wipe off.

Kroil and 0000 steel wool or
you can use a nickel, or so I've read, it's softer and won't scratch the steel.

I used a brass brush with CLP to remove rust on the SG mag deal, worked great.  Do you think fine steel wool is better at removing rust and not the bluing (not talking about paint)?
