Polytech Legend @ the fall Harrisburg, PA Show for $550.00
eta: A Lepould VXII on and arms mount for $50.00 otd. Nothing was wrong with it, just really dirty. I think the dealer didnt realize what type of scope was on it. (got it same day at same show!! I scored twice!!) |
A guy that sold bullets, cases, etc. had some real pulled .308 API projectiles. Only $1 each. It felt like I was buying drugs or something, $50 for such a small bag of bullets! But they work just as intended; poke a hole, cause a leak, and send a match all at the same time.
Also, a Simmons spotting scope, 18-36X for $45 out the door. I see those go for between $70-90 now. |

The best deal I ever got was
a new S&W 686P stainless revolver (357) with a 6" barrel for $435. OTD and as far as AKs go, I got a Arsenal USA underfolder built on a 1.6mm receiver with "new" hungarian parts, and 4-30 mags for $570 + tax. I always thought that was a good deal. |
I have never bought a gun at a gunshow. Never see anything close to a deal. Last time though I did see a VGC Glock17 Gen2 for $375, thats not bad.

I got some of that same ammo as above at a show probably a year ago $100 for a 1000rds packaged in a wooden case good stuff too
But I almost never find a good deal at a gun show most good deals I find are on line. Fund a BETA mag the other day for $120 I know its not AK but was a good deal. also a chinese 75 rd drum for $85 |
2 SKS D Models NIB at the same show in '04
$160 for one $140 for the other and the Dealer said " I'm not going any Lower" when I was looking at it . |
How do you like the XD45? |
I like it alot. I can actually grip it, unlike a Glock 21. I don't have small hands either. If I could grip a Glock 21 comfortably, I would of had one years ago. So far, only put 100rds of Wolf through it. No failures so far. Accuracy is comparable to my Glock 22, maybe a tad better. I can see a 5" Tactical XD45acp in the future. |

I bought a Colt Delta Elite "Gold Cup" for $485.00 a couple years ago. It was the stainless model. However, I've since sold it 'cause at the time, I really wasn't into 10mm handguns. What a dumbass I am! I will never learn.

Over the years I've been pretty lucky at gun shows, although its been years since i came around any "deals." Most of my finds have been from people walking around with their shit at a show. I bought a Model A IMI UZI from a fella brand new in the box for 350 bucks about ten years ago. I bought a Winchester 1897 trench from a guy for 600 bucks about five years ago. I bought a 1917 enfield eddystone from a dealer for 90 bucks in awesome condition with a 3 digit serial number, other than that its been bayonets all kinds really. I bought an original 1941 johnson bayonet from a dealer who didnt know what it was for 30 bucks came with the original scabbard. You have to have a keen eye, when i get to a show i usually walk it quick then rewalk it slow and check every little detail and any dealer with alot of shit on their table i always ask what he has under the table, sometimes you find that one thing you've always wanted that way. |
400 rounds of CCI HP .22LR Subsonic for 10 bucks... 2.50 per box. The guy had it priced wrong.
I got a safariland level 3a vest with desert carrier for 40$. It was medium but the armor was clean, and not abused. I wore it rather than caried it, and an hour later a guy paid me 150$ for it. I had better armor at home, so I sold it to him, besides. I needed a large.
Ps if you want a deal check out my adds on the EE. I am having a three day sale. |
NIB SAR1 for $280 from a dealer at a gunshow 2 months ago.
Found a preban polytech at a shop for 600 OTD, sold it for a grand, cause I needed the money. NEW M16A1 uppers complete with b/c/ch for $350. They were new, and still had the paper roll in the barrels. Guy had a ton of them. Thats pretty much it. |

gun= $350 stock =60 guy thinking he got a deal ....priceless |
Romak III at the Harrisburg show probably 2 years ago for $500. I was only 17 at the time and couldn't buy it...
Here at the Memphis gunshows, I've found some of the best prices on beef jerky and beanie babies.
Nothing AK related, since I just bought my first one......
But 3 nice M1A/M14 items Brand New M14 TRW Bolt - $100 USGI M14 op rod & Chinese M14 op rod - purchased both for $120 total TC |
Last fall my pal scored an HK94A3 with 6 mags for $750. Got it from a guy coming in as my friend was walking out. I do NOT know how he kept a striaght face during the transaction. That sucker goes for $4k right now...

Colt late 60's SP1 all matching, $600. Private seller walking around.
I picked up a Romanian drum still in the wrap at a show for $50. Same guy was selling a Postal M1 Carbine with 5 mags and 300 rounds for $500, but I did not have the $ then.
I also picked up a Chinese 75 round drum off of e-bay for $80 shipped. It had a "buy it now" for $75 and had only been up for about an hour. |
I do have to admit one of the best deals was an all-matching Remington-Rand 1911 with all the original parts and about 98% finish for $675 about 2 years ago. It was a steal. I got about $1,100 out of it when I turned it a couple months later.
