We are currently shipping out more 7.62x39 to our distributors and
retailers. Most distributors and retailers have accumulated many back orders
they have to fill. So please contact them for more information on when it
will be available. Towards the end of March you should see 7.62x39 in stock
for most retailers. Thank you for your inquiry and interest in WOLF
Performance Ammunition.

Sincerely,

WOLF Ammo

Most stores around here will no doubt still be slapping horrendous prices on 20rnd boxes. I need to order a case or five.

I wish Wolf would knock out some 7.62x25 real cheap. No reason to though.

Oh I see what they are doing, just changing the box and upping the price more than likely

Unless they're just using a pic they had on file...the rnds they have pictured look green like the old lacquered shit.  Hopefully they don't start making that and then pushing it as "new and improved"///

I just see one of those RED "X" boxes..?

Never mind the pix finally came in!  Hmmm Military classic huh?  I have heard a few bitch about the polymer coating is rusting through.  Like it's too thin or flaky or something.  Anyone heard about any of the polymer stuff rusting?  Maybe they are going back to lacquar as it has survived just fine for decades.

That can't be right, 2,400 fps on 5.45x39?

Form what i found, the 2460 fps.(750 M/sec) velocity listed on the websight is the
data for a Krinkov length barrel. I found the velocity for an AK-74 length barel
as being 2953 fps. (900 M/sec) which matches the russian millitary data.
I have never cronographed any rounds from an AK but it looks like it might be
a good idea to try it to see just what you are getting.

They are listing their 5.45 ammo as 70 grain bullets, maybe that accounts for the slower velocity.

just a guess, but there are problay factories in russia that are not setup to produce the polymer cased ammo yet. so they are starting a secondary line of the older style ammo, probably selling it slightly cheaper (which adds up when buying in bulk) to help fill orders.

Valued priced ammunition for high volume shooters

should mean MORE value priced then the polymer coated ammo. we will see. they also took the sealent around the case mouth off of the newer polymer coated stuff. this seems to have that back. for long term storage this would be preferable.

I don't care if it is lacquered.  My AK will eat it just fine. As long as it is cheap and available, I am happy.

+1 - Who gives a shit if it's lacquered?  7.62 and 5.45 are for my ak's and I couldn't give a rat's ass what they coat it with...

To be honest I missed the old green cases, thats what belongs in an AK. The polymer stuff was to satisfy the picky AR15 guys.

Yep.  The only diference I notice is a red or a green film inside the rifle when I come home from the range.  Not like it matters since I never clean it anyway.

interesting, 70 grain 5.45x39. I'd like to try some of that in my SAR2.

It's just not right coming home from the range without a green thumb from loading mags.
