So I went to the range the other day, and this guy there has an AK with laminate stock and is shooting Wolf ammo.  I go over to inquire about where he got his ammo and to check out his rifle and he makes the following claims:

1) He is shooting an SKS which is modeled after the AK
2) He bought the Wolf ammo for $30 dollars a thousand at a gunshow because the guy just "wanted to get rif of it
3) Wolf is Chinese ammo
4) The Wolf FMJ was jamming a lot and is cheap and crappy ammo

I know that the guy was on crack for the last two, most likely the last three, but have any of you guys gotten so lucky to buy ammo for $30 a thousand?  And also, if a gun looks like an AK, takes AK mags, has an AK gas blowback system, with AK stocks, and AK charging handle and Bolt carrier, how the hell could it be an SKS?  I am guessing that this guy was just plain retarded.  While I was there he was wailing on his gun, which made me move down a few stalls.  Bolt would get locked forward and he would SLAM the charging handle into the table to knock it loose, with a loaded mag in the gun and safety off and hand on the pistol grip.

No, he wasn't fucking with me, cause I overheard him talking with his little group about how he loves his SKS.  SKS this and SKS that.  I looked down the range and not one person had an SKS, so I got interested.  The guy was a little nuts.  This was at a National Forest shooting range in Blacksburg, VA.  

Damn, what a morron.
