WASR-10's are converted from single-stack receivers so that they can accept hi-capacity, double-stacked magazines. SAR-1 isn't.?

I've seen hicap wasr's

I've also seen canted SAR's

Both seem kind of chincy to me but then I do own a SAR

I have owned many Romainia AK's and SAR's and WASR GP's are typically the higest quality.
My first SAR2 was a beautiful gun with excellent fit/finish,except for the canted front sight. It was unsightly, but it shot perfectly straight. I had a few WASR10's, 2 of which were completely non-functional, but fit/finish was okay. Typically, they are reliable, decently accurate but shoddily produced weapons. My experience seems to indicate that the original SAR's are the best(seems like the later ones had more problems) and the new WASRGP is a close second, if not as good.
The new WASR's like the dimples on the receiver to secure the magazine and restrict lateral movement. This has never contributed to any malfunctions in any of my guns and has never caused anything more than a rattle. I would try to locate an original SAR1 or buy a brand new fixed stock WASR GP. Both are excellent choices and the GP is very close to a military AKM.

Thanks guys. I've been wanting to get an AK for while. I was interested in an Arsenal or a
VEPR but, no one around here has one in stock.
I figured I would pick up Romy to tide me over until more come in.
Guess it's the Sar-1.

What's the difference between and WASR-10 and GP WASR? What are the compliance parts on the GP?

GP has muzzlebrake.

pistol grip (1)
FCG (3)
Piston (1)
for the 6th part
I not sure if the muzzlebrake is US or some could have mag follower and baseplate.

You would just have to check one as I wouldn't own one unless I couldn't get the ones I own.
