I'd worry about availability right now. The backorders on it keep getting pushed back every few weeks or so. If you can find it and it seems reasonably priced, I'd Buy it. KyARGuy |

I'd just order the ammo from SportsmansGuide and hope it gets delivered to you sooner or later. They don't bill until it ships.

SG's site says their 500 round boxes of Wolf SP 7.63x39 are due in on the 20th.
I hope so. I ordered in three boxes just to make up for what I've been using this last month. These don't incur the heavy shipping fee so they work out to about the same price as the 1000 rnd cases. |

I also have to vote for SG. I have received 6 - 640 tins of wolfe 7.62x39 FMJ and HP from them since the first of the year. Best price I've seen!

I went to a gunshow today in Longmont Colo. there were less than 2K rds of 7.62x39 and it was going for $8 for a box of Wolf . There was one AK in the whole show !!!
BTW I know where there's a case (spamcan) of 5.45 x 39 . If you're in northern Colo. IM me I'll clue you in . not sure of the price . |

WENT TO THE WINSTON-SALEM GUN SHOW TODAY AND A 1,000 RD. CASE OF WOLF WAS SELLING FOR $190.00.

At the fun show today Wolf 7.62 was $169.00 per case.
 There was LOTS of it but no one buying and many laughing at them for there prices. |

That's ridiculous. I would be suprised if they actually sold any at that price. I used to buy it the Charlotte show for $74.99 a case from Classic Arms. That was a few years back though. I'm glad I bought alot of it then. SM |

Seriously........??? I'm finding that un-informed pawn shops are best. 7.62x39 1000 rd cases of FMJ(wolf/german stuff) for 110.00-120.00 per 1000rd. 5.45x39 is wierd. They genuinely seem un-aware of the shortage. But the dipshits think it's been rare for years. Maybe it will end up that way. anyway...... pawn shops around me have cases but are charging per box in case...the cunts. ending up to be 800rds of 5.45x39 for 329.00  gimme a fuckin break.....fucktard assclowns.

Good lord- I remember when 7.62 was the cheapest ammo in existance. Thank God I switched out to all 5.56NATO AK's. Sorry about your luck guys- I gave a case of the stuff to my uncle a while back and about forty magazines that I had laying around.

Sorry. Until there is an AK in 5.56 that can have mags had in ABUNDANCE , and that work properly without sad-ass magazine, and rifle modifications.... I'd rather pay/have 7.62x39....all day long. And I'm even an AK-101/102(5.56mm) lover, and I'm still claiming that shit! Sorry...just the truth. Hope Arsenal makes my dreams come true.

Thanks for all the help guys....I was down to 40rnds.
 I found a case (last one too!!) at a local gunshop (Stony Brook Shooting Supplies in York, PA) for $130.00 otd.  I have a couple of gunshows coming up in my area soon, and I am on the backorder list @ SG now.... Thanks for all the help guys!!! |

Bikecop--Had been wanting to ""replenish " the stockpile since ther better half and I shot up about 500rds between us last weekend. Since I live in BFE (Laredo on the Mexican Border) shipping costs kills me. Surprisingly the local Academy had it as you described and I bought 1K rds for what it would have cost me to order the stuff and have it shipped. Thanx for the heads up. BTW The Monarch Brand is Made by Barnaul in Russia. One learns something new every day.

dont forget the .223 FMJ that was going for $117!! I couldnt believe how cheap (relatively) the ammo was. I remember back a few months ago the 7.62 was going for $150 a case at The Marlboro show... It is back at a reasonable price again I bought a Romanian Bayo, a case of 5.45 and a case of .223 for my brand new SAR3.. ho hum.... I have over 12k rounds in my basement right now! |
