Do you also notice in the show "24", how wooden crates and car doors stop 7.62 and 5.56 rounds?

That is actually what I find so funny about this crap, and the tests (like others) these guys at "The Box O' Truth" do.
So many people believe this stuff. I never thought that anyone here (in the forum) would actually believe this Hollywood CRAP. But hey ....COOL SITE TO READ, THAT"S MY POINT! |

THat was a cool report, No SHIT a mag isn't going to stop a rifle round. I do wounder what they would stop.

But I think they should have stacked the mags 2 and or 3 deep for comparison. |

Everybody knows a magazine won't stop a riffle round. only a cigarette case or a pocket watch can do that.

oh yes this is kind of a dupe.................however i remember when i thought it was Old Painless??? that origionaly tested every thing from billistic plates, to master locks, to large blockes of clay to fully loaded mags to see what the effects were if shot by different rounds.
 ETA............If you want to know what a 7.62x39 will do to a car,....................talk to Duke!!

i think the idea is that it's more like a flak vest or whatever they're called.
may stop some small shrap metal but not intended to stop direct hits from a rifle. |

I would not exactly use "24" as a gauge for realism.
You have ground attack aircraft shooting down planes, sensitive gov't communications items that have no zeroize button or destruction plan, I could go on.... Oh, and despite everyone in the show being up for the full 24 hours, nobody looks like they are tired.. They all look like they woke up from a full nights rest a couple hours ago..
