I have been looking for an Ak in .223 but I keep running across these Saigas.  I ran searches in Ak47 forum and see a lot of discussion, but noone ever says what exactly it is?
I will try google next?  Thanks for any input.

A saiga is an ak47. made in the Ismash factory in Russia. Saigas are most popular for thier shotgun versions of the AK47 available in 12 and 20 guage and .410 calibre. They are great guns. But they come from the factory in a sporterized form and need to be converted by moving the trigger group, and replacing the pistolgrip and buttstock. Great guns especially for the money.
