I use it on my slings. But I have never wraped anything up with it. A little paracord can go along way.

But, but back to your question I guess mostly because of looks, and it looks OK, would I ever do that no. But they like it and in some cases it serves to offer a little protection from the heat of the barrel or offer a better check rest, so I compliment them on their gun.

I think it's the same thing as seeing ak guys take a 10 dollar romy stock and dump 60 dollars worth of finisher on it, buy hey to each his own... right?
