I got one of the old school russian solid wood pistol grips. Other than a russian milled guns, were solid wood, non checkered grips utilized on anything else?

I think the typeII and III were the only ones they used the hardwood PG on.Later,you saw some AKMs with laminated PGs.

Theres nothing exceptional about it....I was thinking about putting it on a beater Yugo or Polish UF....

I think it would refinish well and I have read some ways to remove some of the dings with heat and steam...

Man I wish I would run across a pistol grip like that.  I hate the plastic one on my SAR-1

Only some of the T2 guns used them.. Later ones used laminate grips.
