A local gun shop is selling ak 47's with milled recievers with chrome lined barrels for around 700 bucks.  They are not VEPR's (not imported by Robinson Arms anyway), so what are they?  The guys at the store say they are very accurate like you would expect from a vepr, but they have never heard of a vepr.  Anyway, I want a vepr, should I settle for one of these?  They look just like vepr's same stock same milled reciever, around the same price.

Veprs to my knowledge have stamped receivers. The only new production milled receiver compete rifles are Bulgarian Arsenal ak's. If it is an arsenal depending on the type $700 isnt bad.

Sounds like a SA M-7, did it say Arsenal Nevada on the side?

Veprs use a heavy RPK stamped receiver, not milled. Here's a pic, does it look like this?

Not sure if it said Arsenal Nevada Ill check, but that picture is right on minus some rivets and there is a square indentation forward of the magazine well.  Didnt know vepr had a heavy stamped reciever.  Thanks for the info

Yup, just did a search and Im pretty sure it is an Arseanl Nevada SA M7.
