Well, I found a brand new no-ban SA M-5S in a local shop so I picked it up.  She's lovely.  They have a brand new ban model SA M-5 with OD furniture, too.  If anyone is interested, shoot me an IM and I will give the store info.

And I think I know why.  If you check the KVAR web site, you'll see that their Board of Directors just decided to produce 5.56 "bulgy" pattern poly mags in the US.

These folks have their priorities EXACTLY right.  They had to resolve the mag situation BEFORE the continuation, or introduction, of any more Bulgy pattern 5.56's.
