Just saw this on centerfires site and was curious what it is. It looks pretty tempting and they have them for well under $500 for us members. The description doesnt really tell much though.

I'm thinking Saiga conversion. looks interesting but I hate how they mounted the bipod in the wrong spot

Thats a good question. Military Gun Supply was or is selling something like this, no idea on who converted them though. |

Still, not a bad price for an RPK-ish shooter AK; Saiga conversion or not. The bi-pod CAN be re-posistioned to the muzzle end by the way. There is a photo of this an the Century Arms site.

Can someone fill me in on the "problem" with a Century rifle? I"ve heard that bad customer service and poor build quality hurt them... But if I am able to pick one out in person would it be worth it? Centerfire will pull 3 of them for you before charging a hand-select fee i'm told. |

The AES-10 is a Romanian factory built rifle. The receiver is a WASR type.

these ae very good questions. Has anyone done a review of Century (AK) weapons of late. Saw their M70 Yugos at the show. they look okay with with Century's past preceeding them...you never know. So how is their current QA/QC? No dog in this fight -- just acking. |
