On the 74 series of Russian rifles, did/do they use the plate with only the sidefolders?? In other words, do the fixed stock rifles NOT have those plates? TIA

Yes. Sidefolders only. You can see it real well in the Izhmash catalogs. AK-100 Century Series types only. And they were NOT used on Saiga shotguns with folder ,i.e. S-12C.
