My wife registered our # number with some don't call thing ,or whatever.....anyway, no one calls anymore ,before I'd just hang up ..

If they are selling a product, i play as if i am interested.
I get their name and information. Then i say, "That sounds great, and for interupting me at my home, i will make sure that if i ever need the services that your company supplies, that i will NEVER use you because you telemarketed me." Its usually met by silence on the other end of the line... Makes me laugh every time...  KyARGuy |

I never answer the phone anymore. I leave my answering machine on and screen my calls. I have yet to talk to a telemarketer.

If it is a lady on the line, start talking dirty to her. Ask her if she is wearing any undergarmets and what color they are etc................
They usually hang up right away. |

This is the best one!
I ask them to hold on a minute and put the phone in front of the TV speaker with the TV on a religious channel. A couple minutes later I check to see if they're still there and tell them to hold on, I put the phone in front of the speaker again. I do this over and over until they hang up. I had one going for about 20 minutes. This is the best way to waste their time like they waste ours and upset them at the same time. |

I don't have a land line phone so I don't get any calls on my cell.
 However junk mail pours into my house daily.Sometimes my kid and I put peanuts or dirt in them and send them back to charge the postage back to them. |

If it's a chick, I ask them repetedly "Will yah blow me?" It's funny to see how long they stay on the line..

1. No call list.
2. Caller ID. 3. Answering machine.. Sometimes I pick the phone up for no reason just to make sure it's working..

Just tell them you are on the No-Call list, ask for their name, and the name of their company. They will hang up for sure.

Do not call list is wonderful. We used to get 1 or 2 calls a every night, sometimes 3 or 4. We also got calls during the day. Once I entered my number it was wonderful. They just stopped. We still get charities, politicians and some music survery my wife once agreed to participate in. But that's it. One or two calls a week vs one or two at dinner time.
Previously I would either hang up right away or simply set the phone down and hand it up after a minute or two. I always got a kick out of the 'hello, hello are your there, hello, click'. |

I ususally listen for a bit and politely tell them no thanks. If they take that and don't push anything more, I'll tell them good luck on their next call.
If they get pushy, then I hang up. Those who are polite, and don't call late get treated nice. They are trying to do a job and its a shitty job at that. |

Depends:
If its a woman start out acting interested and then ask what they are wearing. Most of the time tey will hang up or curse you out. I had one start flirting wtih me though. Other than that I'll ask them odd and deranged questions. Sometimes ask them about guns. I'm trying to get the number of the owner of one of those fax spam companies right now. He'll get a piece of my mind. |

I have some one yell in the background "IM GONNA KILL YOU" then make a bunch of clattering and then I drop the phone and wait till he or she hangs up.

I act like i'm chinese with real broken english, i fuck with them bigtime, sometimes i ask them if they mind if i pleasure myself while their talking, one lady said go right ahead, most of the time they hang up. sometimes i act like i have hard hearing and scream at the top of my lungs when i talk to them, I get a kick out of it. I'm on the do not call list but they still call

I tell them that I'm unemployed and that I would be willing to talk to them all day if they want, but I add that they have to understand that when we are done I will not be agreeing to buy anything, to have anyone at my house to show me anything, nor will they ever get a charge number from me.
They usually tell me to have a good day and hang up. |

I don't have a land line...but my mom does,and my stepdad keeps them on the line for ever.
He usually answers the phone like an old lady, and asks them to repeat everything they say at least three times...LOL some of these people are realy persistant. This one time was the best though, he had this guy on the line for over an hour.. hae was acting like this old lady and told the guy he used to be in the porn industry..that peaked this guys attention...he kept asking my stepdad about it..before he got off the phone the guy asked for his email and wanted to see some pictures.....what a freak Funny shit though |

I let them aks for me, ask who is calling. Tell them that per person they are calling for in deceased, if they say anymore I let them know he was a drug addict and shot himself in the head.

Air Horn. They usually wear headphones instead of holding a phone all day, so I like to imagine how quick they're tearing them off of their head when I blow the airhorn into the phone....

We used to get calls every day before that no call list started up. Back then we had no caller ID too.
If I picked up the phone and it was a telemarketer, I'd pick up my handy whistle and blow it hard as I could at the end of the phone and then say "Thank you for calling the Police Whistle Hotline! To hear this whistle again in Spanish, press "1" now!" No one ever pressed one. Heck, I even listened for it! |

I tell them any further discusion will cost 800 dollars. Or I tell them I thing I just caught my wife in bed with my next door neighbor. Or I tell them to hold on, set the phone down and come back 5 minutes later. Sometimes they are still waiting. Idiots. then they hear click.

I use to play them for as long as I could. One time I talked to some lady for about 45 minutes. she was dumb as a rock. When she finally figured out I was just being a A-hole, she was so mad she cussed me out. She even called back 3 times and yelled A-hole in the phone and hanging up! It's just cracked my ass up!
Now I never answer the phone, it's either for the kids, the MIL, or work, and I don't want to talk to any of them.... The do not call list works great. .............. |
