The "arrow" mark leads me to believe it's from the Russian 'Izhevsk' factory.

Yes its a russian topcover .

I had a Vector RPD and it had a Bulgarian top cover . Had to send it back for repairs and they replaced the top cover (as well as a mess of other parts) with a Russian marked cover like yours .

Its from the 'Izhevsk' factory as Osprey said.

Have you fired it yet ?

I don't belive that that is Izhevsk.  They have always been an arrow in triagle.  That is the Kovrov arsenal stamp.  The time frame is right for them.

Took some more pics of all the stampings I could find.

There's a few 4's with circles around them here and there, but I didnt know what to thnk of those

Anyway,


Trigger Group


Charging handle


Rear trigger group There is a Star half-assed stamped in the buttstock metal, couldnt get it to show up though


Gas block

I'm interested in learning as much as I can about the history of this.  And thanks for the help so far!
