Prolly been asked before, but I'm lazy.

I'm looking to do an AK  Krinkesque build, that I can SBR and use my can on.

So I'm not looking for a built up AK - more a solid base model that I can build up.

In .223 caliber.

For a terrific build to improve on, I'd go with a Saiga .223.

My Arsenal SA M5 is the shit!  Also, I really like my VEPR K in .223.  Either one of those and you will not go wrong.

I'm a Saiga freak!

But Saiga .223 hi-cap magazine situation sucks my hairy ass!

Why?  Buy 5.45 mags, dremel the feed lips a bit, and insert a Robinson Armament magazine follower.  It isn't dirt cheap, but it isn't really expensive either.

If your budget is generous, the Yugo M85 short barrel kit as offered by Ohio Rapid Fire is another choice available. The link to view the kit is: rapidfire.targetweb.net/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi/agora.cgi?cart_id=7834296.28352*no2LN4&p_id=02087&xm=on&ppinc=big.

I'm wanting a magazine that actually looks like it would come with an AK-101/102. Beryls are the closest I've found. But I don't like modding 50.00 mags.

Can't say I blame you.

Start with the incomplete Bulgy 5.56 Krink kit for $400 at k-var.com or if you do not need full Krink shortness get a $250 Saiga sporter in 5.56 and mod it (Russian forum has a sticky for Saiga conversions). Yugos are not chromed, which rules them out of the papered bullet hose selection imho.

What receiver?

Who sells receivers?
