My Arsenal SA M5 is the shit! Also, I really like my VEPR K in .223. Either one of those and you will not go wrong.

Why? Buy 5.45 mags, dremel the feed lips a bit, and insert a Robinson Armament magazine follower. It isn't dirt cheap, but it isn't really expensive either. |

I'm wanting a magazine that actually looks like it would come with an AK-101/102. Beryls are the closest I've found. But I don't like modding 50.00 mags. |

The only two factory "Krink-esque" kits available here in the US in 5.56mm are the Bulgarian, which are expensive and hard to find, and designed for a milled receiver, or the Yugoslav M85, which are hyper expensive and designed for a receiver that's not available yet.

Start with the incomplete Bulgy 5.56 Krink kit for $400 at k-var.com or if you do not need full Krink shortness get a $250 Saiga sporter in 5.56 and mod it (Russian forum has a sticky for Saiga conversions). Yugos are not chromed, which rules them out of the papered bullet hose selection imho.

Saiga is already built for function, you can cut the bbl a few inches then install the new front. Bulgy Krink would go well on globaltrades.com or ohioordnanceworks.com |
