Just finished my Maadi with Moly Resin. I love that stuff now!

I was wondering if I have the retention spring installed correctly.

I purchased the gun for $250. It has some odd stuff like the front sight post, and the upper gas tube but I think its not bad for a franken gun.

Looks good man.  I've thought about getting a maadi to be a beater AK.

Nice job!

Wonder why someone changed out the ribbed receiver cover for a chinese version.

Edit:  Are you certain that is a Maadi?

I am holding my RML here comparing the picture to my rifle, seems like some differences going on(other than the obvious)  up front, the sight assm.  looks different, the gas block also.

Just wondering.

Great looking rifle.  Looks like from the photo that you don't have the retainer spring in the groove of the rear most pin. (Of course I could be wrong).  Lift the spring up and see if you can seat the rear pin in a little more and drop the spring in the groove.  I did that once, did not notice and went shooting.    Caused my trigger to come apart.  Even with half my trigger assembly hanging out the AK still fired.  What a rifle !!!

Yes its a Maadi ARM... Stamped INTRAC, AND!!! Styer... It was overstamped by INTRAC

I think someone used the Maadi Reciever to build a kit of some sort.. I don't know for sure but it looks like they did good work.
