Does anyone have a description of the home built AK/SKS sight adjustment tool?

TIA.

Yeah, I made a couple years ago. I used a 1/4" bolt partially threaded, maybe 4" long. I cut a notch in the threaded end with a hacksaw and doubled up blades so the notch would fit over the flats on the sight post. I then screwed a nut onto the bolt over the notch and brazed it in place. Then, I ground off most of the nut so it just left a collar aound the notched bolt. When I had the nut ground down far enough to fit in between the ears on the AK, I bent the bolt into a 90 degree angle. It works fine and didn't take more than a few minutes to make.

a crimped 5.56 case does the same thing, just won't last as long. (if just for the post elevation, etc.)

Anyone make a tool to drift the sight?

I just use a piece of wood dowel rod and a small hammer. You could easily make a tool with a small C clamp and a short metal sleeve that would fit over the end of the pin. Get it?

One AK had paint or rust that made it very hard to screw up or down, after breaking two adjustment tools (standard type and the blue colored one) used a nice needle nose pliers and it works good.
