It's a parts kit, not a complete rifle.

You could buy a SAR-3 and a Kobra for the price of that rifle kit.

If I was going to spend $600 on a parts kit it would be the bulgy 5.45 krink kits I dream about.

For $600 I would get a M1919A4 and a pile of spare barrels.

No shit. I know they are new but I'm sure that the yugoslavians aren't selling their kits that much more than every other country. Oh well supply and demand, I know I wont be buying any of those. I just hope those weren't the mint yugo kits everyones been talking about. Hopefully centerfire will get some and sell them for at least half.

I really don't know how much the ban will actually affect the ak world. I think everyone is in a panic and the importers are really taking advantage of it. 600, 1000, 1800 kits are just stupid. If someone has the money go for it but I dont feel like paying for 4-5 kits and only getting one. Not to mention they are coming with less now (mags, slings, bayo's, etc.) and then a month later you see deals on all that stuff you didn't get. I'm not trying to be an ass but it kinda pisses me off when I order a gun (like my psl and get one mag) then have to buy mags for 25-40 apiece and cleaning kit and everything else that came with it into the country.

I'd love to get an M85 also, but $999.00?

PLUS- where can you get extra mags?

Much like the 74's...too rich for my blood.  I have trouble with spending anything over $250 for an AK kit.

take care,
Tec

Didn't one of the Zastava AK models accept Nato-pattern 5.56 magazines?  Perhaps I'm dreaming this up...

Youd still need someone to weld up the rear of the receiver, because they are slant cut. Custom work is pricey.

Don't they mean "M-90"? Which was known as the "M-80" prior to the company change over.

The mags are kinda special, unlike any other .223 mags I have seen.  They are VERY close to the physical dimensions of a 7.62x39 magazine.  The gas block of the rifle is very cool as it has an adjustable cup for setting the gas system.  I heard there is a receiver in the works.
