My first choice would be an Arsenal SA-93 converted to a Type III classic look--can't stand that standard stock.

However that seems like a hard piece to come by, that is unless you guys know of a better place to look than gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com?  Maybe one of you guys have one? *WINK*

Second option and easily obtainable would be an Arsenal SAM7.  I'm a fan of the milled look, the threaded barrel, and from what I've read Arsenal makes some quality guns.  I have a feeling I'll be going with the SAM7.  The SA93 is hard to find :\

The Arsenal AKs are a great choice, also look into the SLR100s.

Keep an eye on the AK EE,alot of nice milled AKs pop up from time to time.

You sound like you are on the right track. As somebody else suggested, the SLR 101S series are very good buys if you don't mind the neutered look.

How much are you looking to spend?  If you're not hooked on a milled receiver or 7.62x39, take a look at SLR-105's.  You can get a "ban version" without the scope rail for $60 more than a WASR, which is a hell of a deal.
