My friend has a ARSENAL SAS-M7 and wants some nice wood handguards for it. He found some very nice wood bulgarian handguards but the item list says it's for stamped receivers. I am guessing what makes a milled hanguard and a stamped handguard is first, mainly that the bottom one is different and tops are the same between the two. Second, that the bottom uses a wider tang to fit into the receiver on a stamped and a narrower tang for the milled receiver.

Is this correct?

If this is correct wouldn't all I have to do is cut down the tangs and custom fit the wood into his milled receiver? Any knowledge or experience is welcomed.

Thanks!
