Heres a vid I took at the range...I only loaded like 30 rounds at a time into the Romy drum...its a PIA to load, especially when its freezing outside.

enjoy the vid

Right click, save as...then open it (as its a high def video, streaming it will make it skip/studder)

Did you polish the charging handle yourself? I was thinking about doing that but wondering if it would be a rust hazard having exposed metal like that. Any input?

Hmm I liked it. Looked pretty cool.

ETA: Did you add the furniture on to the AK? And that is a very nice looking Yugo

Because I just got my first AK(SAR-1) Friday and I had to work 12 hours the past two days so I had no time to try it out yet.

24mbs, so its good quality..

umm I didnt do the polishing myself, a friend of mine did (MRIman here on the forums).  He did a fantastic job on it, looks really sharp now.  The previous owner TRIED to do this, but did a half assed job.

Its not really a rust hazard, just clean your rifle after use and lube it properly, I havnt had any problems...most annoying thing is cleaning out the gas tube/system..takes awhile to do it right.

The bolt is super smooth now, emery (Sp?) was used...functions 100%, doesnt rattle around as the modifcation wasnt major enough to effect function.  If you like that look, go for it, doesnt hurt.l  I actually find it easier to clean since it was polished.

Thanks Dieter122 for the info, I like the way it looks. Plus it doesn't seem to difficult for a new guy to do.

I was just shooting today to put lead downrange, I really didnt care what I hit....also on my SAR-1, it has some trigger slap left in it, even though the FCGs been worked over....things to do, things to do..

Cool video, now in my collection.  Is it odd that I have more gun/combat videos than porn?

Well I have plenty of both, but it seems more challenging to find good shooting videos.  I can remember thinking once...

"COOL, someone shooting a SMITH AND WESSON MODEL 76!"

I haven't gotten that excited about new porn in a while, since I was like 25 or so I guess.  Don't worry I was watching your video dressed

Couldn't do that at any nazi-infested range here in DFW..

"Hey mister! Slow that fire down!"

freaking range nazis.....

thats why I love this range, no range masters or whatever...just go, do the gate combo, log in, blast away, pick up brass (couldnt this day bc they ended up in the 1ft of snow), sign out, close gate.

Other places locally suck, they have "blue sky" boxes, where you can only elevate your gun so much at the 100m range, in fear you might overshoot the berm.  That and "slow fire" rules, each shot must be placed, and only X amount of rounds per minute.  Such crap.

I like the video. What is the make and model of the camera you are using to take that footage? That was very good quality even blown up fullsize.

DCR-HC30 Sony Handycam....normally I bring my dads professional 3-chip camera, but I just grabbed this and hit the range...I used a real high quality video conversion, but one that was reasonable enough for online use.

Cool, thanks. I was thinking about getting on and that's exactly what I was going to use it for. What software did you use with that video? Also, whenever you feel like posting more do it cause several of us  wouldn't mind seeing them.

Rex Edit, it uses its own video board (its my fathers system for his video production work).  I just slopped the video together because I was anxious to get it uploaded.

I might get another video up this week, if I hit the range again...hopefully I will be able to.
I might try my hand at bumping for the vid...im not really good at bump firing however haha.

haha maybe next time.  Im affraid it wont be with my Arsenal rifle, as I have a measly amount of ammo in 5.45 left.  Either my SAR-3 or SAR-1 will be doing the bumping.  I must say , my SAR-3 is the SMOOTHEST shooting gun ive ever shot, its worth its weight in gold to me.
