mike_f, you got some very nice sets
This one just makes me jelous.

I really like the way that set looks.

Anyway, here is my set on my Bulgarian '74 build. If I could just get 1 more US part on there, I would be able to use the Russian grip that came with it.

Nice stuff, but just so you know, if its blond like that, its a Russian Arsenal refinish.. The bottom sling swivel (all original 74 stuff has a side swivel)also fives it away.

How many types of wood 74 uppers are threre?  It looks like there is a non vented , vented and tapered and AKM type?   Does anyone know (and have examples?)  thanks!!

No.. They are already in the States, and I dont have access to them anymore.

Besides, they took me awhile to find/put together. Unless you are going to offer me a truckload of money, I wont sell.

Dave,there is just one 74 upper,its vented and tapered.



Forgot the non vented, tapered  type.

AKM types are not original. Many of the AK74 stock sets in the US that came in via Russia came with them though, as thats all the suppliers could get.. The buttstocks care from one source, the lower from another, and the upper from another.
